The show is created by veteran Star Trek writer, Alex Kurtzman, Rachel Getting Married scribe, Jenny Lumet, and Titans creator, Akiva Goldsman. Spinning off from Star Trek: Discovery, Strange New Worlds will follow Captain Christopher Pike (Anson Mount), Spock (Ethan Peck), Number One (Rebecca Romijn), and the crew of the U.S.S Enterprise a decade before the events of the original series. Star Trek: Strange New Worlds will be more like the original series according to the series creators.
